Tom Webster is gearing up for another holiday season working retail at his local mall. He’s been doing it for a few years now so he knows what to expect with the long hours and the nutty shoppers. But this year is shaping up to be a lot more interesting when he catches sight of the new mall Santa. This isn’t your typical mall Santa – this guy is young, with a chiseled jaw and six-pack abs. Tom doesn’t think he’d ever catch the eye of Hot Mall Santa but an unexpected night together has all Tom’s fantasies coming to life. He also starts to get to know the man behind the suit and finds himself quickly falling for the sweet man. But if he has any hopes of winning Santa’s heart, he will have to fight off his insecurities and Hot Mall Santa’s long line of thirsty fans.
This was a quick and cute holiday novella! It was full of humor, heart, and plenty of heat. Who knew that using holiday puns as dirty talk would be so hot? There’s even some holiday role-play to keep things spicy! There was also plenty of sweetness. I loved their cute little note-passing and quiet conversations as they got to know each other. Randall, aka Hot Mall Santa, was more than just a pretty face. I love that he turned out to be quite nerdy – it was adorable. There’s the teensiest bit of angst, mainly as Tom comes to terms with the fact that someone like Randall would be interested in him. But it’s short-lived and I loved how everything wrapped up!
The retail worker during the holidays aspect was also very realistic! Fortunately, I’ve been out of retail long enough that the stuff Tom had to deal with was humorous rather than triggering hahaha. It was also funny seeing the situation at the mall escalate as more and more people got wind of Hot Mall Santa! The whole book was a lot of fun to read and how cute is that new cover?!
