Robbie is … I don’t know, really, but I do know he’s someone I want to be around, even when I don’t.
Now, if that isn’t confusing as hell, what is?
Social chair of Sigma Beta Psi, Robbie, and risk manager Brandon may be friends but their roles in the fraternity have set them at odds for years. Robbie’s always the life of the party and lives for a good prank and it’s Brandon’s job to make sure no one gets carried away and the pranks are carried out safely. Because risk managers often can’t participate in the fun, Brandon’s bored – so when he learns Robbie is on the hunt for a dude to help him figure out if he’s into guys, Brandon offers to help in hopes of adding a little excitement to his life. He never imagined that their little experimentation would be something he enjoyed and wanted more of.
We’re going through this together, so we’re both gonna remember this maybe more than any other hookup, but I don’t wanna be memorable by default. I want us both to look back at this time one day with complete and total fondness.
This was another fun installment in the Frat Wars series! I loved how chill Robbie was with wanting to experiment with guys after Chad and Bailey got together. He was very open and unashamed about sex and that spilled over in his quest to find a dude to hook up with. He may have been surprised when Brandon offered to help but it was clear they had some sort of connection after what happened to Brandon in the first book so it made a lot of sense. It was sweet how protective Robbie was over Brandon and how he found ways to include him in the mayhem of the house despite his role.
Who knew having a brofriend could be so fun?
The banter and shenanigans were fun, of course, but my favorite part was them exploring their sexuality together. I love sexual/bi-awakening stories where neither character has any experience with someone of the same sex. Robbie and Brandon learning and experiencing all these firsts together was sweet and very hot. These two left me smiling and I appreciated that they communicated rather well and that the story was very low angst. I look forward to seeing what everyone gets up to in the last book of the series!
“We can stop kidding ourselves that this is nothing, because I think it might be everything.”
