There was something about him that, even after all this time, still felt so perfect.
Collin and Harper met six years ago in a bar where Harper was just a nervous young man looking for a man to hook up with to help him figure out his sexuality. Collin was a big and burly guy who rode a Harley but he treated Harper with care that night and their time together stuck with them both over the years. Harper recently moved to a new town and by chance crosses paths with Collin again. As they reconnect and try for something real after six years, will the reality live up to the memories they’ve harbored all this time?
We’d barely even started, but the love bubble I was in with him felt bigger than any other new relationship I’d had. There was no denying I was completely smitten with him. Though, I had been for most of my adult life.
This was a very sweet story. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series yet but this one was fine to standalone. It was angst-free and full of good vibes and swoon. Collin may have been a big, bearded guy who was part of a motorcycle club but he also owned his own crochet business and was an absolute teddy bear. Through flashbacks, we get to see a little from the night he and Harper spent together six years ago and it was easy to see why Harper was so hung up on him for all that time. Collin was so kind and gentle with him, traits that continued when they met again.
Collin and Harper were very sweet together and they were also pretty insatiable for one another. There was no shortage of steamy scenes, including some unique uses of yarn/crochet! They didn’t face any real challenges to their burgeoning relationship, you get to just sit back and enjoy them being all loved up. Sometimes that’s just what you need!
For every dream I’d had with him in it, nothing of his younger self compared to the person who stood before me now.
I enjoyed the secondary characters as well, especially Collin’s grandmother, Iris. She was a hoot and I loved their relationship and how welcoming she was to Harper. Overall this was an easy, breezy read that’ll leave your heart feeling all warm and fuzzy by the end.
“You came into my life when I needed you, and then you vanished. I spent years chasing the ghost of you and couldn’t believe it when I’d actually found you again.”
