Snow Storm by E.M. Lindsey

Everything with this man felt so… right. It felt important—like if he let him go, he’d be spitting in the face of the universe for the gift it was giving him.

Dealing with the anniversary of his father’s death and his fiancé leaving him for their couple’s therapist, author Harley James is barely holding it together. He reaches his breaking point after an unfortunate incident at a signing his publisher forced him to attend. After his very public meltdown, his brother arranges for him to ride out the scandal at a secluded mountain resort over the holidays. He was never expecting to meet someone like Claude, who from their very first meeting seemed to understand him better than anyone ever has. Neither one was looking for love but as they spend this Christmas in each other’s arms, that may be exactly what they find.

Whatever he was feeling, it wasn’t filling some kind of void.

It was soft. It was easy.

It was right.

These characters are the type that will make you want to wrap them up and protect them from anything bad happening. They were both so sweet and lovable. Poor Harley was going through it when we met him, I felt so bad for him and how he had been treated. But Claude was so wonderful to him right from the start, even with the little bout of mistaken identity when they first met. I think they shared a similar loneliness inside them and I think that’s what drew them together. They fell fast and they fell hard but it still felt believable. Sometimes you meet someone and you just know and I think that was the case for these two.

God, if he didn’t know better, he’d say this was falling in love.

But could a person do that in two days?

They understood each other on a level that no one else in their lives had before and they were just so soft and lovely together. The book was plenty steamy, too! They had great chemistry. The story was very low angst, the conflict that did exist was external to their relationship, which I appreciated. Mainly, the book was cozy, romantic, spicy, and oh-so-sweet. A delightful holiday romance!

“I’m not going to pretend to understand it. I just know that when I look at you, I realize you’re the only one I’ve ever wanted.”
