Winning You by E.M. Lindsey

“You’re a fucking beautiful, bright, amazing man who should have been spoiled beyond all reason. And the fact that no one has seen that in you makes me want to undo reality and remake it again the way it should be.”

I’ve loved Lucas since he showed up in the series several books ago. He’s such a great character. He’s such a smart ass and always brings so many humorous moments. I was glad when I discovered he was getting his own book. He made a great lead, and I loved that he still had his signature sarcasm. Frankie was a good match for him. From the blurb, I thought Frankie might have been kind of a jerk, but he totally wasn’t. He was a great guy who had been dealt some tough hands in life. But he had a big heart and only wanted to do right by his family.

These two certainly got off on the wrong foot, but it didn’t take long for them to set things right between them. There was a big age gap, but it worked for them. They balanced each other well, and Frankie was so good at understanding what Lucas needed. They ended up being so sweet together.

I liked seeing them start to blend their families. I only wish that we had gotten to see a bit more of that at the end. It was sort of promised, but then just glossed over in favor of further setting up Gage’s book. I would have liked maybe one more chapter to fully flesh that out. And I wish there had been an epilogue. But aside from that, I really enjoyed this story and loved Lucas and Frankie!

“My heart’s beating in your chest now, Lucas. It’s yours to take care of. I don’t want it back.”
