Clueless Puckboy by Eden Finley and Saxon James

“Who said you were clueless at this relationship thing?”

“Literally everyone. But I’m a fast learner.”

Poor, sweet, clueless Ayri Quinn. He just wanted to rehab his injured groin but between his friends teasing that he broke his dick and his body betraying him every time he finds himself on the massage table of the team’s trainer, Vance Landon, it’ll be a miracle if he manages to get past this injury with his dignity intact. Vance has always been attracted to Quinn and finds his reactions during their sessions and his fumbling awkwardness charming but he’d never cross that professional boundary. But when Vance learns the real reason for Quinn’s reactions around him, they’ve both got to decide if acting on this mutual attraction is worth the professional risk they’d both face if they ended up in a relationship.

Quinn was adorable, get ready for a lot of secondhand embarrassment early in this book as he tries to hide his huge crush on Vance. The poor guy had it bad and his traitorous body and mouth didn’t make it easy for him. Vance was really sweet with him, both before and after he learned about Quinn’s crush. I enjoyed seeing Quinn find his confidence again after his secret was out. I also enjoyed Vance helping Quinn deal with his mental hang-ups. As I’m sure many pro athletes do, Quinn had a tendency to get stuck in his head about his performance on the ice which only made things worse for him. But Vance was so understanding and really tried to help him out. It was a nice dynamic. They complemented each other nicely and were just really cute together.

It’s always fun to spend more time with the Queer Collective! I loved all the cameos the other guys made, you can pretty much count on chaos ensuing whenever those guys get together. Quite possibly the best part was seeing so much of Asher! He basically steals any scene he’s in and it was good to see that despite finding love he hasn’t lost his edge! I thought this was a fun addition to the series and I’m excited for what’s coming next!

“…neither of us are perfect, but I’m really beginning to believe we might be perfect for each other.”

And I think I just fell in love with him.
