Oz by Lily Martin

There’s just something about him that seems to call to something in me. Something that echoes and matches him. That makes us kindred spirits in some strange way.

I really enjoyed this book! It turned out to be everything I was hoping for when I picked it up. The story was so sweet and romantic. It was also quite funny; I laughed out loud several times over Oz and his sharp tongue, and some of the situations he found himself in. The setting was also lovely, an old British estate by the sea. I loved all the characters and the cute pups. It was relatively low angst, too, which is what I was looking for at the moment. I definitely want to read the rest of the series now (and the series this spun off from, so I can get Henry and Ivo’s story).

“…in him I’ve found my home, my safety, and my ease.”

I LOVED Oz and Silas! Their chemistry was evident from the very first meet-cute and only built as the story progressed. Silas was nothing like what you’d expect an earl from an old British estate to be. He was warm and open and quick to laugh. It’s no wonder he was so charmed by Oz, who never held back. He may have been small in stature, but his personality was big. The romance and the cute little courtship they had were so sweet. And the spice was excellent. It wasn’t anything crazy, but the connection these two guys had took the spice to the next level for me.

This book was a delight from start to finish, and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it!

“It’s a welcoming house. I felt it as soon as I came.”

“It knew,” I say impulsively, grabbing his fingers and kissing them. “It knew it should keep you.”
