Cash Hooper Saves a Life by Lisa Henry & Sarah Honey

An ordinary life was the most impossible thing I’d ever imagined, and here I was in the middle of one. So I just shrugged and hoped my smile told him what I couldn’t:
I’m happy here with you.

This book made my heart so happy. Cash Hooper deserves the world, and I loved seeing him finally get everything he never knew to hope for. He’s the sweetest soul and has been through so much in his life. Seeing how far he’s come from when we first met him was just beautiful. Mason and Dog were perfect for him.

Despite his horrible past, Cash still had so much optimism and kindness in his heart. Seeing him with the animals in this book showcased the kind of person he was. It was adorable to see how much he loved and wanted the best for them. I loved the way he looked out for Mason too. The friendship they developed was lovely, and it was heartwarming to see Mason become a safe person for Cash. Their shift to a romantic relationship felt organic and was so sweet. It was all so heartwarming; I loved it.

I also liked the mental health aspect. We all knew Cash had residual issues from his awful childhood, but it turned out that Mason was dealing with his own issues. They were all handled with such care, and the way these two supported one another was fantastic.

I’ve loved this series; the found family is top-notch, and all the stories are such sweet romances. I’m looking forward to the final novella to see Bobby Merritt find his HEA!

Who would have thought that a guy stealing a dog would upend my whole life? And who would have guessed exactly how much I needed it to be upended? But the universe had gotten that one right.
