Unalive on Air by Jemma Croft

If you’ve read the first two books in this series, you’re familiar with biscuit-loving Gary Runcorn and probably wondered how he met his demise. Well, wonder no more! I had a fun time trying to figure out the mystery of his murder and the murders of the rest of the ghosts he was sent to eradicate. I loved this ragtag group of ghosts. They were all wildly different, but they made a great little found family, and I love how they took Gary under their wing.

The main focus was the mystery and the found family, with the romance taking more of a backseat. But it worked well. The mystery was intriguing, and I loved unraveling it. I had worked some of it out by the time the truth was revealed, but there were still some surprises. And it was cool to realize all the things that had been hints along the way. I also loved the creative way Gary and his new pals could broadcast his show as a ghost. I thought the ghostly lore in this book was very creative!

The love story between Gary and Trystan was also super sweet. I’d probably classify it as a slow burn, but they were very cute together, and there were some very unique ghost spicy times late in the book! If you enjoy a good mystery with a dash of romance, you should give this a shot!
