The Fall of Legend

I’m . . . I’m . . . in serious danger of falling for this guy who I have no business even knowing he exists.
He’s not for me.
We may live in the same city, but we’re from different worlds.
This book marks the beginning of what’s sure to be another exciting trilogy from Meghan March. I think this one set a lot of the foundation for what’s to come, compared to many of Meghan March’s other books, it’s pretty tame but I expect that things are going to pick up going forward. The setup has all the makings of an epic story and I look forward to seeing where things go from here. I loved how things started with this book. Scarlett and Gabriel had a quite unconventional first meeting but I thought it was a great way to kick off their story. They had amazing chemistry, despite this being a slow burn for much of it. They are from very different worlds but there’s no denying the connection between them. Gabriel Legend did not disappoint. He may be from the wrong side of the tracks and lived a difficult life but he’s got a good heart and his alpha streak is very sexy. I also liked Scarlett. I’ll admit, I don’t fully understand what her actual job is but I enjoyed the fact that she wasn’t the stuck up rich princess that I was expecting. Overall the book was a little slower than I was thinking and it didn’t even really end of that big of a cliffhanger, but I am still very much looking forward to continuing this story and seeing where Scarlett and Gabriel’s story goes next!

House of Scarlett

If there’s a single scenario in which Scarlett Priest could be mine, I want to find it.
The second book in The Legend Trilogy picks up where we left off in the first book and we see the fallout from Legend’s actions. Scarlett is left reeling after thinking there was something special between them and Legend is tortured by the decision he made. I enjoyed the events that lead them back to one another and I really loved seeing the caring, protective side to Legend. We saw a little of it in the first book but his giant heart was on full display here and it was a real treat! This book was largely the advancement of Scarlett and Gabe’s relationship, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading, but there were also lots of moving pieces that are slowly coming together as we head into the final book of the trilogy. You can feel the stakes getting higher and higher as you read this book and there are so many possibilities and theories swirling around that I can’t wait for the finale. I may have said that the cliffhanger at the end of the first book wasn’t that bad, well, the cliffhanger at the end of this one more than made up for it! It’s a doozy and it’s sure to start off book three with a bang! I’ll be counting down the days until I can dive into it!
