Scrooged was a fun little compilation of short stories from powerhouse duo Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. I missed these stories when they were originally released so I was excited to see them released in one volume. Each story is short and sweet, only about 4 or 5 chapters each, but they were all full of holiday magic and a dash of romance.
I enjoyed all three stories. I think my favorite was The Merry Mistake with a tie between Sexy Scrooge and Kissmas in New York in second place. From Meredith hopping onto a sexy stranger’s lap in Sexy Scrooge to Piper mistaking a handsome man for a homeless person The Merry Mistake and Margo accepting a dare to kiss a complete stranger in Kissmas in New York, all three stories start with chance encounters, some fun and some awkward, but all of them may wind up with a possible love connection. I also enjoyed the themes of giving, doing good deeds, and helping others – they all really captured the warm, cozy feelings of the holiday season!
As an added bonus, if you’re a Passionflix subscriber you’ll be able to see two of these stories come to life in their new holiday quickies! Sexy Scrooge is available now and The Merry Mistake will be coming soon. I gave Sexy Scrooge a watch after I was done reading it and they did such a good job with it! I loved seeing Meredith and Adam’s fateful Uber ride come to life and I couldn’t help the giant grin I had on my face when it was through! I’m excited to also watch The Merry Mistake when it’s released!
If you’re looking for a quick jolt of holiday cheer, this compilation ought to do the trick!
