After recently finishing The Naughty, The Nice and The Nanny, I jumped right into this one. This fun little holiday novella is a spin on the brother’s best friend/best friend’s little sister trope and was a spicy holiday delight. Stella Marten has crushed on her big brother’s best friend, Heath Holiday, for as long as she can remember. But it’s never gone further than her fantasies because her brother basically banned any of his friends from ever dating her. When Stella goes to work for Heath’s family’s construction company, she’s pretty sure that she’s finally going to have to put her crush to rest. Then Heath goes and shows up to his family’s Christmas party looking delicious in a suit and kisses her. Will she just go back to being his best friend’s little sister the next day or will all her fantasies finally come true?
Stella and Heath’s story was hinted at in the first book of this series, in this book we get to see the other side of the scene where Natalie walks in on them in the sitting room at the Christmas party. It was fun finding out what led up to that moment. Heath and Stella were really cute together and they had such great chemistry. This book was a lot spicier than the first novella! It also had a bit more angst than Maddox and Natalie’s story too. This is probably to be expected due to their shared history and with Stella’s brother figuratively standing between them. But overall it was still a feel-good holiday romance!
