I devoured this book! I was hooked from the start and didn’t want to put it down. Darcy and Eric were so good together! I loved the fake dating in this one, and how they ended up bonding over their family drama. Eric was such a great guy and had a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. I loved seeing him get to let a bit of that go when he was with Darcy.
And I know Darcy thinks she’s at the bottom of the food chain as the team’s admin, but she was a total badass and almost single-handedly kept things running smoothly for the Legends. It was especially refreshing to see a woman be valued and treated with respect in a highly male-dominated space. This was something I enjoyed about the first book in the series, Thrown for a Loop, too.
The whole Wedding Experience storyline was a lot of fun. All the family drama was sometimes crazy, sometimes emotional, and I ate it right up. Darcy’s family situation was complicated, and Eric’s was heartbreaking, but I loved seeing them support each other as they endured the wedding’s awkwardness.
There was a bit of angst as they came out of the little bubble they’d been in for the wedding, as they had to figure out what to do with the unexpected feelings that developed. But overall, the book was very low angst. I loved how everything turned out. And it was fun seeing the characters from the first book again. This is a fun group, and I look forward to returning to this world when the next book comes out!
